The Hewlett Foundation has just released a Request For Proposals as follow up to the online discussion we had on mapping the OER world collaboratively. This approach is in line with the philosophy that underpins the OER movement. Not only is the application process open, but there will be three separate awards of $25,000 each. This means that there will be three approaches tested out in a proof of concept or prototype as Stage 1.
You can find the Request For Proposals document (as well as a newly released white paper on OER) at on the Hewlett Foundation site at http://www.hewlett.org/programs/education-program/open-educational-resources .
